An existential short film to help students and the wider Bristol community to cope with grief

in summary

A short proof of concept film in order to raise funds for a feature film planned to be shot in the summer of 2025.

A grieving husband struggling to cope with his terminally ill wife's death, seeks solace in dreams.

"This film is the act of me searching for the answer to what happens after we die and how that answer changes the way we live life. As someone with autism I view the world differently to most people and I feel that it is important to show and offer my thought process and perspective to the world to help anyone that has been in similar circumstances to me. This is the film I wish existed so now I am making it."  - Oscar, Director of Reverie Once More

Who am i?

I'm autistic and have been struggling to cope with the idea of death. Having recently lost my grandma to cancer, more than ever I want to offer my film and unique perspective of the world to help other students and the wider community to cope with the fear of death and losing loved ones.

My Story

I really struggle with the fear of death, leaving the ones I love, or them leaving me to the afterlife. I searched for many answers for art and for film to help me cope, to help me understand death more and accept it more. I couldn't find anything.

My fear came to the forefront in first year, being separated from my family. This film is what I needed then to cope. As an autistic filmmaker my exploration of death has led to story and philosophy that can help anyone at any stage of life come to terms with our mortality and live life to the full.

I found an niche gap in the market that I know is important to fill for people everywhere. Especially for that first year student who was just like me.

Where will the money go?
