Continue supporting Pantosoc at Edinburgh Fringe
✨Panto Soc's EdFringe show: A Cinderella Panto ✨
We are the University of Bristol's Pantomime Society - usually better known as Panto Soc! Thanks everyone, we have raised enough money to support our cast to go up to Edinburgh's Fringe festival this summer!
However, the costs of accommodation and travel will continue to rise in the future. A core value of our society is inclusion, and that means ensuring our future trip to the Edinburgh Fringe is financially accessible for all our members. So we can continue bringing our proudly students-written, directed and produced pantomime!
📌More about our 2024 Fringe show📌
Our classic pantomime tale of Cinderella this summer, with a twist, is now performing 11:05am at 'The Space' on the Mile! The show has been written, publicly workshopped, and edited, by a team of University students. The show is written for and aimed at families, but can be enjoyed by all ages! It has the classic pantomime physical comedy, songs and puns. Through the character of Cinder/Cinderella the story introduces a trans character in a positive and unobtrusive way. This fits nicely with the the original themes of Cinderella's story: of finding and being yourself.
In the future we will be doing panto shows with similar vibes, and will be needing your support!
💰Where will the money go?💰
Accommodation = £320 per person
Travel = £50 per person
We usually have a cast and crew of about 12 people. The money raised will help cover the travel and accommodation costs of our cast and crew in the future, ensuring that everyone can travel up for the show. As mentioned, it's a core value of Panto Soc that we are inclusive, and so your support will help us uphold this important tradition.
